A Special Weekend for Cooking Enthusiasts as Phoenix Market city Chennai Hosted a Masterclass by the Legendary Chef Sanjeev Kapoor

Celebrating the amazing mélange of finest cuisines, Phoenix Marketcity, one of the premium malls in Chennai hosted an extravagant cooking masterclass by celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor on 10th June 2023 (Saturday) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Central Atrium of the mall. Adding finesse in preparing the most delicious dishes across different regions, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor did a live fusion cooking demonstration offering 8 recipes of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections along with dessert dishes for the enthusiastic audience comprising around 2000 participants. Chefs from In-house brands of the mall namely Copper Chimney, Rajdhani, Punjabi Grill Toscano, Kobe Sizzlers, The Masala Story, Mainland China, Jonah’s Bistro, Carl’s Kitchen, and Annam Café were invited for a special tasting session and were awarded special trophies during the interesting 2-hour workshop.  

Phoenix Marketcity, Chennai turned out to be the rendezvous of several inquisitive and passionate cooking aficionados learning to excel with their culinary skills and waiting to catch a glimpse of their favorite celebrity Chef.  This one-of-a-kind masterclass by the chef was a lifetime experience for the people of Chennai. The participants witnessed a live opportunity to interact and take pictures with the chef, and taste special dishes prepared by the Chef. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor started his journey at the age of 27 and has been a recipient of Padma Shri, the highest civilian award of the country for his contribution in Culinary Art. He has also written several books on cooking which have been bestsellers and guides for many and runs his own TV Channel Food-Food apart from handling the longest running show of Asia Khana Khazana.

The masterclass allowed the participants to bring in different cooking styles and techniques to their kitchen, and were provided gourmet treats, where they witnessed an amalgamation of traditional Indian with Italian, or a fine blend of two Asian cuisines. The masterclass included recipes of Blue Pea Fried Rice with Chili Garlic Prawns, Biryani Arancini with Raw Mango Kadhi Baked Yogurt with Kaffir Lime & Pistachio, Hibiscus Tea, and many other mouth-watering recipes by the legendary Chef – Sanjeev Kapoor
