Fortis Malar Hospital organises Walkathon as a part of #MoreToGive Campaign

Fortis Malar Hospital, a leading Multi-specialty Hospital in Chennai today conducted Walkathon as a part of #MoreToGive campaign to create awareness about organ donation. The campaign is aimed at sensitizing people on the concept of organ donation as well as encouraging them to pledge their organs to save precious lives and positively impact the well-being of the nation.

Attended by hundreds of citizens including doctors, heart transplant recipients, students and other public, the walkathon was flagged off by renowned actor Mr Mohan Raman and professional squash player Mr Saurav Ghosal along with Dr Ananth Mohan Pai, Medical Superintendent, Fortis Malar Hospital at Thiruvanmiyur beach.

Commenting on the awareness programme, Dr Ananth Mohan Pai, Medical Superintendent, Fortis Malar Hospital said, “It is really important to educate the people about organ donation so that they can make a change in the lives of others by donating organs. The ‘More to Give’ campaign is critical for a country like ours as very little is known about organ donation and the many lives it can save. The objective of this campaign is to create widespread awareness and encourage more and more people to register as organ donors as each one of us has the power to give and save lives.”
