54thGraduation Day Graduation Day ceremony of Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam, Chennai was conductedon 23rd April, 2022 at Kola Perumal Chetty Vaishnav Senior Secondary School premises in Arumbakkam, Chennai. Around 2803 students belonging to undergraduate, post graduate and research programmes of 2020 and 2021 batches received their degrees. The programme was conducted over two sessions. . The college secretary Sri Ashok Kumar Mundra felicitated the chief guest with a memento. Dr. S. Santhosh Baboo, Principal welcomed the students and mentioned that it was a privilege for all of them to graduate from this prestigious institution in Chennai. He observed that they must grow in their respective careers and contribute towards the development of the society. The chief guest for the forenoon session was Col. Dr.G. Thiruvasagam, President, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi and Vice Chancellor, AMET University, Chennai. He shared his expertise on the present education scenario in India. He also urged the students to not wait for opportunities but create new pathways for themselves. The college Principal concluded the ceremony by administering the pledge.
The chief guest for the afternoon session was Dr. K.J Sreeram, Director, Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology GOI, Chennai.He advised the students to be multitaskers and entrepreneurs. He said that they shouldhave a vision for the future, be different and unique. This is the best time for India to be a global leader and all the students must make the most of it.
