First time in India Golu Showcase made entirely of Silver at Challani House of Silver

In the South, Navratri is celebrated with much fanfare and the highlight is Bommai Golu, also known as Bommala Koluvu, Kolu, or Gombe Habba. The most popular golu dolls are of Gods, Goddesses like Dasavatharam, Ashtalakshmi, Kuberan, spiritual deities from Mahabharatha and Ramayana, celestial beings, mythological characters and saints. Also popular are the cheery looking Chettiar couples, temple scene, marriage procession and ceremony, various vegetables and fruits, animals, miniature kitchen sets and figurines of Chotta Bheem, Pokemon and even Disney characters.  Golu is also an occasion when people visit and marvel at the beauty of the decorated golus in each other’s homes. It’s an opportunity to mingle and share the fun and happiness of one of Hinduism’s most important festivals. Women and children visit their friends and family in festive clothes, share special navratri snacks and reminisce about the good times.

To capture the magic of this whimsical festival, Challani House of Silver have organised a Special Golu comprising entire golu items made of Silver. The astonishing exhibit is first of its kind in India and is splendid because of its opulence and the intricate craftsmanship on each golu exhibit. The golu will feature an entire pantheon of Hindu gods in their resplendent glory accompanied by a myriad collection of heavenly beings, different types of Kalasam, Vilakkus, Pooja thalis and vessels, breathtaking annams, peacocks, elephants and other animals all made of pure silver. Delicate kitchen sets, household items, vehicles, dolls and figurines made of silver will be on the golu display.

Golu will truly be a spotlight event in your Navratri celebrations and the items on display will be breathtaking.
