World Dental Conference 2023 Paves the Way for Dentists in Clinical Cosmetology

Bangkok, Thailand The World Dental Conference 2023, held in the vibrant city of Bangkok, was a significant gathering of dental professionals from around the world. Among the distinguished guests and speakers, Dr. HemamaliniRajinikanthstood out with her enlightening presentation on the topic of “Clinical Cosmetology: Are Dentists Eligible?” This topic has been a subject of debate in recent times, and her insights shed much-needed light on the matter.

Dr. HemamaliniRajinikanth’s presentation at the World Dental Conference delved into the question of whether dentists possess the license to practice clinical cosmetology. According to the information provided, it seems that Annexure 2 of the Dental BDS Regulation has been amended to include clinical cosmetology, which grants dentists the authority to practice it.

Furthermore, it’s noteworthy that the President of the Dental Council of India was present at the presentation and expressed appreciation for Dr. Hema’s efforts in sharing this information at an international forum. The President also indicated a willingness to support her in all her future endeavors.

This revelation marks a pioneering moment for the dental community, as it legitimizes dentists’ participation in clinical cosmetology. To further promote this change, an association known as the National Clinical Cosmetology Association has been formed. The primary aim of this association is to emphasize that BDS-qualified dentists are indeed professional doctors fully capable of practicing clinical cosmetology.

Speaking as the Secretary of the National Clinical Cosmetology Association, Dr. HemamaliniRajinikanth expressed her enthusiasm about the development. She stated, “Dentists can now practice clinical cosmetology with confidence and pride because the Dental Council has endorsed it. We want to encourage unity among medical professionals, emphasizing that dentists play a vital role in this evolving field.”

The conference, attended by approximately 150 dentists from different parts of the world, highlighted the immense potential of the beauty industry. Dentists have long been contributing to this industry through smile correction, and clinical cosmetology represents the next step in their journey. Dr. Hemamalai’s presentation served as a call to action for other medical professionals to support and collaborate with dentists, rather than undermining their qualifications.

“Clinical Cosmetology – The Revolutionary Revenue-Changing Skill for Dentists” was the resounding message from Dr. Hemamalai’s presentation. With the Dental Council’s endorsement and the establishment of the National Clinical Cosmetology Association, the dental community can now embrace this transformative opportunity with confidence.
